Alisa Lumbreras

Christopher Holt Bio

Before joining The Fine Arts League of the Carolinas in 2009, Alisa worked for 17 years in the feature film industry as a scenic artist. Educated at Berry College and Georgia State and interning at Fernbank Science Center in the art exhibit studio she funneled her creative talents. As Scenic Charge for Disney, MGM, Tri-Star, and countless others, she executed the Director's vision on the film, sculpting, painting, creating, and developing sets to make them come to life on the big screen

She has been creating in multi-media fashion since childhood; welding, silk screen, jewelry-making, batik, woodcarving, mosaics, as well as drawing and painting. She has exhibited in national juried shows and held several one-woman shows. For the last three years she has focused on the classical approach to drawing and painting. This search has taken her successfully into painting still-life, etching, pen & ink drawing, and sculpture

Alisa's creativity, experience, and fundamental skill will be an asset for each of her students. She believes that a focus on drawing from an early age is an opportunity that every young artist should take advantage and in her workshop she will lead and nurture each student in self-expression and fundamentals.
