The student of the Fine Arts League can expect to study the materials and methods used by the old masters as passed down from generation to generation.

Upon graduation, the student should have a full understanding and working knowledge of each of the following:

• preparation of paper with sizing
• toning paper
• preparation of grounds for painting
• stretching canvas
• preparation of oil painting panels
• making walnut and bistre ink
• carving bamboo, feather and reed pens
• proper framing and hanging techniques
